At Urban Cookhouse, we believe three things turn a simple meal into an unforgettable experience: delicious, made-from-scratch food, ingredients from local farms, and impeccable service. Each recipe in our family-owned restaurant contains fruits and veggies from neighboring farms, so every bite is fresh and flavorful.
We enhance all our flavors and freshness by cooking over an open flame with our famous Big Green Egg. This grill allows us to add wood-fired flavor to our meats. We chose the Big Green Egg because its shape and ceramic material holds a consistent temperature so that our quality is the same no matter who is working in the kitchen.

Urban Cookhouse, Inspired by Family
Urban Cookhouse was inspired by family. From PawPaw Snyder who taught our founder how to carefully smoke meats over hickory wood and charcoal and grow farm fresh vegetables to the Tomaino Family that came to America to start a new life, family is the “why” behind Urban Cookhouse. Sherry Snyder, our founder’s mother, was most at home in the kitchen modeling made-from-scratch cooking to her sons. The family farms that provide the fresh ingredients are another vital piece of our family tree that make Urban Cookhouse feel like home to our customers within the communities we serve.
