Coming from the suburbs, parking is always part of the equation, and we ended up paying since nothing clearly indicated whether free parking was available. If there was a free option, I wish that information were more visible for first-time visitors. Once we got inside, things got much better. The food was something new for us, and surprisingly, everything tasted great. Since it was restaurant week, the value made the experience even more worth it. The interior had a cool, modern vibe that made the dinner feel fun and different from the usual spots. Service and pacing felt smooth, and the whole visit had a positive energy to it. Overall, despite the parking guesswork, Rondo turned out to be a memorable and enjoyable restaurant week pick. Efficient: Yes First-Time Friendliness: No Would I Return: Yes JY review Jason L A Japanese place that has a broad selection of chirashi bowls, udon bowls, sashimi, and katsu. Tried their most well-known bara chirashi donburi and the aburi salmon hand roll (specials). Aburi salmon hand roll was really good! It came with 2 thick slices of aburi salmon. The chirashi donburi was good, but found the addition of wagyu kind of strange. It didn’t really work with any of the other chirashi ingredients, and it didn’t have its own seasoning either. There was also some bbq eel in the bowl, which I thought tasted a lot better than the wagyu and actually went well with the other sashimi. Maybe a better option would have been the unagi chirashi bowl on the menu. There is a line of counter seating and tables for two in the back plus two long tables in the center of the restaurant for groups. Shuxin C Solid izakaya spot in the heart of Capitol Hill. We came on a Sunday afternoon and were seated quickly, even though it was busy and the tables stayed full. The food took a bit longer to arrive, but everything tasted great. Service was quick and efficient, and while the prices are on the higher side, I think they’re fair for the quality you get. Debby Debby To the sweetest stranger Sam who paid my bill because I was balling in the restaurant: thank you so much, may you have a wonderful day and beautiful life Shoyu ramen was super delish - the oxtail broth taste was very unique! Uni rainbow shooter was amazing. Carafe of sake was much bigger than I thought, worth every penny. Came here on Sunday mid afternoon and didn’t need to wait for a table. Service was amazing. Parking was super difficult but that’s expected for CH. Joan Z Very cool place. We got in and out very quickly without a reservation (went during off peak hours). The only thing we got was the Uni & Ikura B.B. Noodle (went twice just for it!). It’s very small so everyone is seated close together and you can overhear lots of conversations (esp if you’re sitting at the long tables). Too tight to bring kids or strollers, so I wouldn’t recommend it for families. T Took our friends here for a thank you meal. Did not disappoint. It's been on my want to go list for a couple of years and wow is the menu extensive and every single thing we got was incredible. Highly recommended their signature rib appetizer, tonkatsu pork, BB noodles, and soft serve ice cream. We got 4 appetizers, 3 entrees, 4 desserts, a round of drinks and a pitcher of beer and the whole tab before tip was $200 which I thought was excellent especially considering this is a restaurnt in Capitol Hill Seattle. Victoria Martinez If you’re looking for a Japanese side quest, Rondo is worth a try! I ordered the creamy seafood udon, Hellz Chicken, and the salmon chirashi bowl. The udon was perfectly creamy, the fried chicken was crispy with a nice little kick from the sauce, and the chirashi was fresh and well put together. Everything came out looking great and tasted just as good as it looked. For dessert, the soft serve is necessary. I’d recommend the hojicha flavor, which was balanced and so good. The restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere, and since it’s in Cap Hill it’s easy to walk to. Just be prepared that parking can be a bit tricky if you’re driving. Chunneath Last meal in Seattle. I came for the uni and ikura BB noodle, but unfortunately it didn’t live up to my expectations. I liked the texture and it was good, but could’ve used more balanced flavors instead of drenching with Parmesan. It was also a tiny piece of uni to call it an uni noodle dish. I saw the table next to me order a diff noodle dish that looked better, might have been the rondo maze men, that I wish I ordered instead. The bara chirashi donburi was bomb though. And also enjoyed the uni shooter. Service was great. Definitely liked the vibe and recommend coming for HH. We hold 252 venues in Seattle, WA and could score 61 of them. This one is not among them, so it has no position — not a low one.
There is no score breakdown to show: nothing we read about this venue earned points in any of the four categories, so a bar chart of zeroes would look like a verdict on the kitchen rather than on what it publishes. What we did read is below.
