Cocktails & Wine
made by women, built around vegetables
Dirt Candy offers wines by the bottle or by the glass, but all of it has one thing in common: all of it is made by women. The brainchild of sommelier Lauren Friel, one of the owners of the natural wine bar Rebel Rebel in Boston, our list focuses on estates where women are in charge, whether they’re the winemaker, vineyard manager, or owner. Lauren, and Dirt Candy, believe that women are underrepresented in the macho world of wine, so we want to support our sisters.
That’s one way of looking at it. The other way is that we want to serve the most amazing wines from the best wineries we can find and, lucky for us, a whole lot of them happen to be owned and operated by women.
