Double Flash Dubbel Belgian Dubbel All atmospheric nuclear explosions produce a unique and easy to detect emission signature, consisting of an extremely brief and intense initial "flash" followed by a 2nd much longer and less intense "flash" of light (the visible fireball). These dual explosions of light are known as "double flashes". This phenomenon is unique to nuclear explosions and impossible to recreate artificially, allowing researchers, scientists, tracking satellites, and governments to confirm if and where a nuclear explosion has taken place. While not emitting light, our "Double Flash" Dubbel does explode into a deep amber color and tasteful fireball of classic Belgian flavors. The term Dubbel is a Trappist beer naming convention originally used to identify beers with a higher alcohol content. We match that required "emission signature" here as we produce this 7% ABV, classically style Trappist ale. We use a unique combination of Victory, Munich, Belgian Aromatic, and a touch of Dark Crystal malt to create a complex but dry malt character. The Belgian yeast strain produces fruity esters that give you a "Double Flash" of flavor, evoking notes of plum and spice. This brew is easy to track, no satellites necessary, just flash down to our taproom for a pour.

These rations served as both a morale boost and a high calorie, caffeinated meal. Here, the morale boost for our "troops" comes in the form of this bold, roasty, Imperial Stout. 12oz Draft

Pitchblende is notable in that THREE different radioactive chemicals were first discovered via analysis of its makeup: uranium, polonium, and radium. In this boosted ABV version, smooth, well-balanced flavor put this intricately layered porter at the top of our discovery list! 12oz Draft

Project XYZ Brown Ale - Imperial 8% ABV In 1948, Operation Sandstone was conducted at Enewetak Atoll in the Marshall Islands to test and evaluate new nuclear weapon designs. The series consisted of three tests: X-RAY on April 15, YOKE on May 1, and ZEBRA on May 15. Together, the three tests helped the United States evaluate improvements in weapon design, including more efficient use of nuclear material. Project XYZ is an Imperial Brown Ale that takes its name from those three tests, with X, Y, and Z representing three characteristics at the heart of the beer: nutty, malty, and toasty. Rich malt character, deep toasted flavors, and nutty notes come together in a full-bodied brown ale built for a big impact. This beer is our nod to a fascinating chapter in the history of nuclear testing, and to the scientific experimentation that defined Operation Sandstone.

Duck & Cover IPA - Imperial 8% ABV Inspired by the iconic “Duck and Cover” civil defense posters of the Atomic Age, this Hazy DIPA features a feathered friend paying homage to Bert the Turtle, only with a bill, some attitude, and a shell that’s more for style than safety. Brewed with a quacktical strike of hops, we formed a haze cloud that bursts with juicy citrus and radiant tropical notes, giving the perfect excuse to duck out of work and find cover under a neon light. So when the work bell rings and everyone else rushes for the exits, you’ll know the drill: Duck and Cover, take shelter, and let the hop clouds fall where they may, because at this very moment the only thing you have to prepare for is flavor... and maybe surviving the Atomic Duck’s next adventure.

Here we craft a session ale on a light base of wheat and 2-row malts. The simplified malt bill and low ABV allow the beauty of Mosaic hops and fresh citrus to shine through. Light, crisp, and delicately refreshing this brew allows you to "Waddle" away and forge your own footprint.

Split Bill IPA - New England 5.7% ABV 57 IBU Split Bill (yes, we love our duck puns) is designed to feature our two favorite hops by "splitting" their use during the brewing process. We use lots of Citra early on and lots of Mosaic late. This process pulls just enough bitterness from the Citra while retaining it's floral characteristics and allowing the soft fruitiness of Mosaic to pronounce late. This brew is a taproom only offering, so you can share the experience with others and perhaps "split the bill".

In the late 1950's Swiss accordion player Werner Thomas penned a tune called "Der Ententanz" (The Duck Dance) because, in addition to accordion playing, he also tended flocks of ducks and geese. Thomas began playing the composition in local hotels and restaurants where guests created a dance to the bouncy tune that, they believed, mimicked the movements of a duck. The dance eventually grew to include beak, wing, and tail motions. By the late 70's, the tune had become a popular drinking song at Oktoberfest and Germans had given the song a new name, "Vogerltanz" (Little Bird Dance). The dance made its way to the United States in 1981 via an Oktoberfest celebration held in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Founding members of that Oktoberfest celebration wanted to demonstrate their love of the song through a dance performed in costume, but no duck costumes were available. Luckily, a local TV Station had a chicken costume to donate and the "Chicken Dance" was born (this is a true story). Our Oktoberfest style beer is meant to mimic the fun and enthusiasm experienced by those who enjoy this, now, ubiquitous Oktoberfest dance. Classic ingredients like Vienna and Munich malts, Hallertau hops, and German Lager yeast pay tribute to Old-World elements that will have you "flapping your wings" for tradition, while the 6% ABV provides you with just enough liquid courage to "shake your tailfeather" and celebrate the new. Crisp, clean, and malt driven with a beautifully dry finish, this copper colored Festbier is our "Prost!" to you.

Serving Sizes: 16oz Can 4 Pack Unstable Rice-O-Topes Lager - Japanese Rice 4% ABV Unstable isotopes, like those used in the development of atomic energy, possess a unique characteristic: they undergo radioactive decay, releasing immense energy in the form of heat through nuclear fission. This process, once harnessed for destructive purposes, also paved the way for groundbreaking advancements in atomic energy, leading to the powering of homes, and even entire cities. During the brewing process, the rice addition of this beer begins to break down, much like the isotope. This release of starches convert into necessary fermentable sugars, resulting in an easy drinking light lager with a clean, crisp finish. Harnessing the power of tradition and innovation, we present to you Unstable Rice-O-Topes.

Updated on Sep 2, 12:15 PM PDT Cans and Bottles Fortified Efforts Barleywine - English 12% ABV The Cold War lasted for 45 years, but the threat of a nuclear attack peaked during the 1950’s. In an effort to protect citizens should such an event occur, the U.S. government built fortified bunkers underground. The bunkers were designed to help wait out the devastating aftermath of a highly radioactive event, but luckily, they were never needed. These fortified shelters showed resilience and strength, with many still in use today, albeit primarily for storage. In our efforts to continuously improve, we strengthened our arsenal of barrel-aged beers with the addition of this brand new English Barleywine. The elevated presence of alcohol is crafted to protect the natural toffee and caramel notes extracted from the malt blend, and ensure they stand the test of time. It was then sheltered in bourbon barrels for several months, imparting notes of vanilla, oak, and ethanol. Drink fresh, or age it in a cool, dark bunker to enjoy later.

Serving Sizes: 375ml Bottle (To Go) Coconut Kiloton Dark Ale 12.1% ABV 28 IBU Rated 4.25 out of 5 on Untappd A kiloton is "a unit of explosive power equivalent to 1,000 tons of TNT" and it's the measuring unit used to evaluate atomic and nuclear devices. In 1946, beginning with the detonation of a 21 kiloton device, the United States began nuclear testing at islands in the Pacific. These tests damaged the islands and much of their vegetation but "nature always finds a way" and the first element to prove it's resilience and return was the coconut. Here we recognize that fastidious fruit by brewing an Imperial Dark Ale with so much toasted coconut that it literally explodes with coconut flavor. Being an Able Baker beer, however, that's simply not enough so we aged it in Woodford Reserve bourbon barrels and then rested it on cocoa nibs. The result is a sultry, boozy, brew with bold, upfront coconut, and reserved tinges of chocolate and cherrywood.

Deep in his quack-lab, Dr. Hoppenheimer wasn't just splitting atoms—he was juicing them. With a core reactor of heavy oats and honey thicker than duck drama at a pond party, this Hazy TIPA hums like a Geiger counter on date night. Think fission meets fizz, with a finish that glows brighter than a reactor at happy hour. So if you're looking for a beer with power, you've waddled to the right place.
